Question 398: To ask the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if he will provide the name, position and annual salary awarded to each of his special advisors; if he will provide details of any request made for an increase above the special advisor pay cap from the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform and the amount of the increase sought. Details in relation to special advisors appointed to my office are set out in the table below. Both Mr. Kenny and Mr. Garvey were appointed at the first point of the Principal Officer Scale in line with Government Guidelines and no request for the award of a contract in excess of these guidelines was raised in either case.
