As the Deputy is aware, in June of last year I announced that 20 new post-primary schools are to be established up to 2017 across a number of locations to cater for increasing demographics. This announcement included a proposal to establish a new post-primary school to serve the area referred to by the Deputy. In that regard, my Department is working with the Local Authority to identify a suitable site for such a school Forward Planning Section of my Department will continue its analysis of enrolments and demographics in the area concerned to ensure that there is sufficient school accommodation to meet any projected future demands.
