The Irish Film Board is the independent statutory body responsible for the development and the promotion of the Irish film industry. Funding is provided by my Department to the Irish Film Board by the means of a grant-in-aid. Funding for the years in question is set out below –

2010 €19,272,000

2011 €18,431,000

2012 €15,690,000

In addition to funding provided by the Irish Film Board, my Department made a once-off capital refurbishment grant to Ardmore Film Studios of €222,000 in 2010.
