The Office of Public Works is not responsible for the maintenance of the Glosha embankments at Cromane, which are located at the south - east end of the Cromane spit.

However, it is open to Kerry County Council to submit a funding application under the OPW's Minor Flood Mitigation Works & Coastal Protection Scheme for works at this location. Any application received will be considered by OPW under the scheme eligibility criteria and having regard to the availability of resources.
