As the Deputy will be aware, I recently announced a programme for the delivery of school buildings over the next five years as part of a major investment programme. A project for a new building for the school to which the Deputy refers was included in that announcement. My Department has reached agreement with Dublin City Council to acquire a site for the new school building and it is my Department's intention for the project to go to construction during the period 2014/15. Officials from my Department recently attended a public information meeting to appraise the local community of the proposed school design. I expect that a planning permission application for the development will be submitted to the local authority in the coming weeks.
