The person concerned applied for carer's benefit on 20 March 2012. Her claim was refused on the grounds that the care recipient is not so disabled as to require full-time care and attention as prescribed in the carer's benefit legislation. On 18 May 2012 she was notified of this decision, the reasons for it. This enquiry is being accepted by carer's benefit section as a request for a review of the decision. A deciding officer will review this case shortly and the person in question will be notified of the outcome in due course.
