Question 459: To ask the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the procedures to be followed by his Department or An Post in relation to changing the postal addresses of locations throughout the country; if there has been any prior consultation or information with the persons in the area regarding same or can it be done without any consultation and persons just informed that their postal address has been changed after the decision has been made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have no statutory function in regard to the issue raised by the Deputy. This is an operational matter for the management and Board of An Post.

I have asked the company to reply directly to the Deputy in this regard.
