Question 306: To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if any pension entitlements are accruable to those civil and public servants that have re-entered employment with the civil and public service having recently retired; if their current payment is pensionable; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In most cases where someone is re hired on a short term basis to a post which they previously held, their pension is subject to abatement and no pension rights accrue.
