Question 143: To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality further to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 286 of 6 December 2011 and No. 511 of 21 February 2012, the number of gardaí in the Donegal division serving in Gaeltacht areas who are available and able to conduct business through Irish with members of the public; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I refer the Deputy to the letter which issued to him on 23 April 2012 in response to the earlier questions. That correspondence clarified that 48 members in the Donegal Division are in receipt of the Gaeltacht Allowance and are attached to the stations outlined in the below table.
