I refer the Deputy to my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 516 on 14 February last. The Committee has indicated their intention to conclude their work by mid year. Reply to Parliamentary Question No. 516 on Tuesday 14th February, 2012 The Inter-Departmental Committee, under the independent chairmanship of Senator Martin McAleese, submitted an interim progress report last October which was considered by Cabinet and published on my Department's website www.justice.ie. The Committee, which is receiving the full co-operation of Government Departments, the religious orders, and representative groups of women who were formerly resident in the Laundries, indicated their intention to conclude their work by mid 2012.
