Question 131: To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if he will list the initiatives in the field of education that have benefitted from North South cooperation funding and the names of schools where children who have benefitted from the George Mitchell Scholarship Fund Act, 2011 have attended. Under the terms of the Good Friday Agreement there are four designated areas of cooperation in the area of education; special education needs, educational underachievement, teacher mobility and school, youth and teachers exchanges. My Department funds a number of initiatives in these four areas. A list of projects currently funded is attached as Appendix A for the deputy's information. In relation to the George Mitchell Scholarship Programme, this programme provides third level scholarships to enable US university graduates to pursue a year of study at institutions of higher learning in Ireland and Northern Ireland. A list of the third level institutions which George Mitchell scholars have attended is attached as Appendix B,
