Question 1426: To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will provide a breakdown of the amount paid by his Department to mobile telephone companies for the past five years; the name of the companies used; the criteria used in deciding which mobile telephone company to use; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The following table provides details of total payments by my Department to mobile telephone companies in the last five years:

Mobile costs are included for Tourism and Sport functions since they joined the Department in April 2011. My Department selects mobile service providers using the National Mobile Voice and Data Framework negotiated by the Department of Finance.
