I intend to bring legislative proposals to Government in the coming weeks to abolish the HSE Board structure under the Health Act 2004 and to provide for replacement governance structures and enhanced accountability arrangements. Following Government approval, the intention is to have the necessary legislation drafted as a priority so that the Bill can be published as soon as possible. I have no plans at present to publish the heads of the Bill.
