The Health Service Executive (HSE) operates a Treatment Abroad Scheme (TAS), for persons entitled to treatment in another EU/EEA member state or Switzerland under EU Regulations and in accordance with Department of Health Guidelines.

The HSE has stated that it has not received an application under the scheme on behalf of the patient referred to by the Deputy. An application form has now been sent to his parents.
