Question 585: To ask the Minister for Health if he is satisfied that the physical developmental needs of children with cerebral palsy are being met within the State education system; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10024/12]

I presume the Deputy is referring to the physical developmental needs and not the educational needs of children with cerebral palsy. Where children with special needs require physical and other therapies, this support is provided by the Health Service Executive. Accordingly, the Department has asked the HSE to reply to the Deputy directly outlining the physical and other therapy supports provided to children with cerebral palsy.
