Question 223: To ask the Minister for Health if he is satisfied that respite services are being withdrawn from patients in St. Benedict's Ward in Cashel, County Tipperary, due to inadequate staff resources; the way he plans to deal with these staff shortages to ensure that respite services are continued for patients who require such services to ensure that they do not have to become long-stay patients, resulting in further strain on the system; the actions that he will take to ensure that respite services are re-instated for a patient in south Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
