The programme of replacement and refurbishment of Garda accommodation is based on agreed priorities established by An Garda Síochána. The programme is progressed in co-operation with the Office of Public Works, who have responsibility for capital expenditure in respect of Garda accommodation. I am advised by the Garda authorities that a premises has been acquired to serve as a new Garda station in Glanmire. In addition, I have been informed that a list of contractors from whom tenders will be invited for the necessary fit-out work is currently being finalised by the Office of Public Works.
