The Water Services Investment Programme 2010 – 2012, a copy of which is available in the Oireachtas Library, provides for the development of a comprehensive range of new water services infrastructure in County Roscommon. The West Roscommon Regional Water Supply Scheme, which includes the upgrade of Ballinlough, is included in the Programme as a scheme to advance through planning.

My Department is currently examining Roscommon County Council's Design Review Report which is an update of the original Preliminary Report for the scheme and a reply will issue to the Council as soon as possible. Once approved by my Department, the Council can then proceed with the preparation of contract documents for the scheme.
