Kerry County Council proposes to construct a new pier at Cromane, County Kerry. The proposed pier will be the property of that Local Authority who will be responsible for its development, maintenance and repair. My Department has received an application from Kerry County Council for funding for a total of 7 projects for inclusion in the 2012 Fishery Harbour & Coastal Infrastructure Development Programme which is currently under consideration. No application for funding in respect of Cromane Pier was received from Kerry County Council in 2012, but any application for funding in future years by Kerry County Council will be given consideration subject to available exchequer funding and overall national priorities.
