Question 572: To ask the Minister for Defence if he will provide the total amount each Government Minister, junior Minister and senior civil servant has spent on entertainment expenses since being appointed in the case of the Ministers and junior Ministers and in the calendar year of 2011 with regards to senior civil servants. Since being appointed as Minister for Defence, and Minister of State at the Department of Defence, respectively, neither myself nor Mr Paul Kehoe T.D., have incurred expenditure on entertainment. The entertainment expenses of the Secretary General in 2011 amounted to €1,132.80 including expenses which arose in hosting a seminar in Ireland jointly with Finland.
