Question 457: To ask the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the number and costs of advertisements placed in national newspapers for job vacancies in the civil and public service in the past 12 months; the number of new entrants recruited from the process; the number of vacancies filled from inside the civil and public service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can inform the Deputy that no such recruitment process took place in my Department in the past 12 months. Two Clerical Officers were appointed from the redeployment panel in March 2011.
Information in respect of bodies and agencies under the aegis of my Department is a day to day matter for those organisations and my Department does not have the information sought by the Deputy. I will, however, request the relevant Agencies and bodies under the aegis of my Department to respond directly to the Deputy on this matter.
