I have been informed by the Garda Commissioner that the personnel strength of the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation (G.B.F.I), Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (N.B.C.I.) and the Garda Technical Bureau broken down by rank, on 31 December 2011, the latest date for which figures are readily available was as set out in the table hereunder:

The Deputy will be aware that the Commissioner, in consultation with his senior management team, is responsible for the detailed allocation of resources, including personnel, throughout the organisation.
