My Special Advisor is currently paid at the first point of the Principal Officer (Standard) Scale which ranges from €80,051 to €92,672. As I have already informed the Deputy, I am in discussions with the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform regarding changes to my Special Advisor's work pattern. These discussions, which are not yet concluded, will include the salary to be paid under the proposed new arrangements.
