There is currently no funding available to local communities to establish a digital data-base of Church records of Baptisms, Marriages and Burials. My Department is responsible for the website www.irishgenealogy.ie which contains nearly 3 million Church records of Baptisms, Marriages and Burials for Dublin City, Cork South and West (Diocesan area of Cork and Ross), Carlow and Kerry. These records can be searched for free. There is also the website of the Irish Family History Foundation, www.rootsireland.ie that contains Church records of Baptisms, Marriages and Burials for most of the remaining counties of all the island of Ireland including areas such as North and East County Cork (Diocese of Cloyne). There is a charge for viewing records on that website.
