Question 215: To ask the Minister for Education and Skills in view of changes that were made in budget 2012, if he will consider engaging with the Department of Finance to examine the impact that the VAT changes have on schools that visit open farms in view of the fact that these visits can be considered as an educational activity; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am not aware of the particular issue raised by the Deputy. I have therefore arranged for an official from my Department to contact the Deputy directly on the matter. However, any issues in relation to the impact of the recent VAT changes are a matter for my colleague the Minister for Finance.
