1The person concerned was refused carer's allowance on the grounds that the care recipient is not so disabled as to require full –time care and attention as prescribed in regulations. On 10 January 2012, she was notified of this decision and the reason(s) for it.

2057An application for domiciliary care allowance was received on 12 December 2011. This application has been forwarded to one of the Department's Medical Assessors for their medical opinion. Upon receipt of this opinion, a decision will issue to the customer. The Deputy should note that currently it can take up to 9 weeks to process an application.
