1I am aware that a settlement to the satisfaction of the parties to the La Senza dispute has finally been agreed. It is regrettable that it seemed to be necessary for the workers to take the actions they did in order to safeguard the payment of their legal entitlements.
Had established procedures been followed by the employer side, the closure and consequent redundancies could have been handled in a manner which at least gave employees confidence of getting their entitlements without having to resort to the need for action.
