Question 800: To ask the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs her view that she or any agency funded by her which own properties in office complexes in which a management company is in place, should take an active role in the running of such management companies including the appointment of a nominee to the board of the company in order to protect the investment of taxpayers' money. As neither my Department, nor any agency under the remit my Department, owns any property the issue raised by the Deputy does not arise.

I can assure the Deputy that my Department and associated agencies are fully aware of the necessity to reduce administrative costs and there are ongoing efforts across all offices to increase efficiencies in this regard.
