I have regular and useful contact with Minister Ford particularly under the auspices of the Intergovernmental Agreement on Cooperation in Criminal Justice Matters. Our discussions revolve around a wide range of issues of mutual interest including prison matters. I should add that I understand that the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade raised the situation at Maghaberry Prison with Minister Ford in June 2011.
