It is unclear on the basis of the information supplied by the Deputy whether the person referred to is a visa required national. In circumstances where the person concerned is visa required, it is open to that national to apply for a visa for any purpose. Each visa application is considered on its individual merits, the onus resting with the Applicant to satisfy the Visa Officer as to why the visa sought should be granted. Guidelines on the visa application process are available on the website of the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service, www.inis.gov.ie.
