Question 489: To ask the Minister for Health in view of the fact that Letterkenny General Hospital supports 160 children with type 1 diabetes, if he will ensure that paediatric diabetes services are not removed or downgraded at the hospital; and if he will work with the Health Service Executive to ensure that a dedicated paediatric diabetes nurse specialist is appointed to the hospital in line with recognised best practice; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
