Question 444: To ask the Minister for Health if selective dorsal rhizotomy operation is recommended by the Health Service Executive for the treatment of cerebral palsy spastic diplegia which reduces spasticity and improves sitting and standing posture; if the procedure is not recommended, the reason it is not recommended when clinicians in hospitals here are recommending selective dorsal rhizotomy.
