Outstanding contributions to the Garda Síochána and Garda Spouses' and Children's Superannuation Schemes are taken from the retirement gratuity in accordance with normal procedures applicable to Public Service Superannuation Schemes. This procedure ensures that the appropriate pension entitlements can be paid in full on retirement and there are no plans to change the procedure.
