Primary responsibility for the promotion and funding of the arts at all levels throughout the country is devolved to the Arts Council. The arts community can apply online through the Arts Council website for funding and for other services, including grants for performances and productions. The Arts Council has an excellent online service, which was selected by public vote for the Net Visionary eGovernment Award. Under legislation, the Arts Council is independent in making its funding decisions. The Office of Public Works is responsible for the management of Newgrange.
