Question 116: To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the month in which he expects the Bill to allow for changes to the Valuation Office in an effort to improve the roll-out of the national programme for the revaluation of all commercial and industrial properties in the country will be published; if this matter is receiving priority; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have submitted draft Heads of a Bill amending the Valuation Act 2001 to the Government for approval. Subject to such technical adjustments as may be found necessary in the course of drafting, approval is also sought to publish the general scheme for the information of the public, in line with the Programme for Government commitment on Dáil reform to publish such details at an early stage in order to facilitate debate. Subject to approval being given, the Bill will be published and processed as soon as possible, subject to the Government's schedule for enactment of legislation.
