Question 111: To ask the Minister for Social Protection if a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath who was made redundant in December 2008 is entitled to their statutory redundancy at this point, as it appears the they overlooked making the application; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The prescribed time for submitting a redundancy lump sum claim is 52 weeks. From the information provided in the question it would appear that the person concerned was made redundant in December 2008. In these circumstances the time–limit for making a redundancy payment has elapsed.
