I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the Criminal Justice (Female Genital Mutilation) Bill 2011 was passed by Seanad Éireann in June 2011. The Bill also passed Second Stage in the Dáil on 13 July and it is expected to be scheduled for Committee Stage shortly.
