This is a matter for Bord Bia.
An Bord Bia Subsidiary Boards consist of a Chairman and twelve ordinary members. Appointments are made by the Board of An Bord Bia subject to the consent of the Minister. Under the Bord Bia Act 1994-2004, Bord Bia is solely legally responsible for nominating members of Bord Bia Subsidiary Boards (including the Horticulture Subsidiary Board) and submitting them for the Minister's approval.
The normal tenure of office of new appointees is three years.
