Question 376: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the practice of putting up two similar planning applications at the same property so that an objection to one planning application has no bearing on the other application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. It is not clear what practice is being referred to in the question. A planning authority is required to deal with any planning application in accordance with planning legislation, including the Planning and Development Regulations 2001, as amended.
