Question 654: To ask the Minister for Health his plans to alter the criteria of the motorised transport grant to enable parents of children under the age of 17 years to apply for a grant in view of the severe hardships that many such parents have transporting their severely ill children; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There are no plans to extend the eligibility criteria for the Motorised Transport Grant. All public expenditure programmes and schemes are being considered as part of the Comprehensive Review of Expenditure and Estimates process for 2012 which is currently underway.
