Question 160: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if he will provide a list of the private rental properties leased by him; the location of each property; the annual value of each lease; if each lease is subject to an upward only rent clause and the name of the landlord in tabular form. In general, premises and sites occupied by my Department are rented or leased by the OPW, rather than directly by my Department. The location, costs and landlord of the premises and sites currently rented directly by my Department are set out below.

In relation to the office space at Cork Airport, rent for 2009, 2010 and 2011 is yet to be paid, pending the finalisation of discussions with the Dublin Airport Authority which manages the airport.
The contracts do not contain upward-only rent review clauses.
My Department also shares with other Government Departments the rent and ancillary costs of a premises occupied by Ireland's Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels. My Department's share of rental costs associated with this office is set by the Department of Foreign Affairs at €17,574 for 2011.
