Question 235: To ask the Minister for Health the reasons for the delay in appointing the necessary staff to the promised, and agreed, stroke unit at Cavan General Hospital; the steps he will take to ensure the removal of any and every obstacle to the said appointments; and if he will guarantee the establishment of the unit, with all required specialist staff [i]in situ[/i], before Christmas 2011; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
