Question 127: To ask the Minister for Finance if, in the aftermath of the Greek Government's announcement that it will hold a referendum on the EU-IMF programme agreed at the recent European Council meeting, if he will also now consider holding a referendum on the EU-IMF deal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy will be aware, Greece did not proceed with the proposal to hold a referendum on its EU-IMF programme. Ireland's EU-IMF Programme was approved by the Dáil on 15 December 2011. The individual measures within it are subject to Government or Oireachtas approval as appropriate. Ireland's programme is working and this is being increasingly recognised both here and internationally, including by the financial markets. The Government has no plans to hold a referendum on Ireland's EU-IMF Programme.
