Question 349: To ask the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources if the chief executive of Ordnance Survey Ireland has agreed to repay the several thousand euros overpaid to her in salary over a period of two years in full by 31 December this year; if the correct salary has now been applied, including the January 2010 public service pay reduction, to the chief executive; and his view of the board of Ordnance Survey Ireland's handling of this matter in its interactions with the Department over the past 18 months. Arrangements for the payment of salaries to its staff, including the Chief Executive Officer, and the making of statutory deductions are day to day operational matters for Ordnance Survey Ireland as is the case with any Agency or Body Corporate under the aegis of my Department. In relation to the Chief Executive Officer, I understand that the Board has put in place arrangements to recover the overpayment of CEO salary and for an adjustment to be made in line with Government decisions on salaries.
