Invalidity pension is a payment for people who are permanently incapable of work because of illness or incapacity and who satisfy the contribution conditions.

This Department received an application for invalidity pension for the person concerned. While he satisfies the contribution conditions for invalidity pension, his suitability on medical grounds has yet to be decided. The medical evidence is currently being examined by a medical assessor. Entitlement to invalidity pension will be considered further in light of the medical assessor's report and he will be notified shortly of the decision.
