Question 603: To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he is satisfied that the recent tendering process for painting and decorating works at Killarney railway station, County Kerry, was adequately advertised; if he will review this matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. Matters relating to tendering processes for painting and decorating works are day-to-day operational issues for Iarnród Éireann and I have no function in such matters.

Noting this I have referred the Deputy's question to Iarnród Éireann for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within 10 working days.
