The HSE takes full account of population trends and demographics in planning new developments in primary care under its capital programme and in considering leasing of infrastructure for service developments. An accommodation assessment for primary care is currently being undertaken by the HSE and I expect to receive the report shortly.
The HSE undertakes regular reviews of the needs of health centres and essential maintenance is undertaken within available resources.
