Question 564: To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will provide a list of the commercial semi-State companies under his remit whose chief executives have agreed to take a voluntary salary cut to bring them within the €250,000 salary cap announced by the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Following the recent Government decision to cap the salaries of newly appointed Chief Executive Officers of commercial state companies at €250,000, I have in the case of agencies for which I have responsibility sought voluntary waivers of 15% of salary from current incumbents who are above this threshold or a lesser amount if the application of the full 15% reduction were to bring their salary level below the threshold. This involved three commercial State agencies - Irish Aviation Authority, Dublin Airport Authority and Iarnród Éireann. All of the CEOs of these agencies have agreed to the requested reduction.
