The following table sets out the position in the HSE regarding posts that were approved and filled since the recruitment pause in July 2011. Of the 204 posts concerned, 136 involved the appointment of trainees or students in line with normal practice.

Notes: (i) The Management/Admin figures refer to staff funded by Cooperation and Working Together (CAWT). (ii) The Support Services/Other Patient and Client Care includes staff funded by CAWT, ambulance staff (EMTs) and trainees. (iii) The figures do not include NCHD posts as the NCHD recruitment process commenced prior to the decision on the recruitment pause.
