The community welfare service (CWS), and the community welfare officers providing it, formally transferred to the Department of Social Protection (DSP) from 1 October 2011. The service and the staff are now part of the DSP. Due to a change in circumstances for the person concerned, in that her job seekers benefit payment had finished, the person's rent supplement entitlement has been recalculated. Arrears are now due in respect of this recalculation for the months of July to September. Payment in respect of these arrears will be issued to the person concerned shortly.
